Thankfully, it was still morning in hot desertic Arizona (literally, Spanish for ‘arid zone’). Out of the corner of the eye, a man noticed something out of the ordinary. It was by a Walmart trash container in his hometown.
At that time of day, he wasn’t supposed to be there. What caught his attention was what looked like a moving trash bag. Upon opening it, three Chihuahua non-purebreds were found tied one to each other. All things considered, this was a divine appointment.
Nothing could’ve survived long stuffed inside a tied plastic bag, out in the desert sun. It’s been said that a coincidence is that miracle in which God chooses not to put his autograph in. This instance proved to be no exception.
Through social media, there was enough concern to deal with the situation. A place for the puppies was quickly found. Then also were inquiries into the finding of the dogs’ origin. In such a short time when something like this happens, it’s usually that the dogs would split between different places.
But a kind-hearted man took it upon himself to take all three so they could heal together. Mind you, this was a newbie on never having canines before. But he felt that the seriousness of the situation merited this show of care.
It wasn’t until 1 am the next day when everything was settled for the doggies to be in their new place. Due to how miraculously quickly they were found, the little ones were relatively well. Thirsty & hungry, yes. Some heat exhaustion as well. But good overall.
According to established law, disposing of a live organism in the way these puppies were found, is a punishable crime. If the one responsible were to be found, the local humane society would press charges for animal cruelty.
It could be that the person in question might’ve found out these were not pure chihuahuas. Thus the puppies weren’t treated as they should. What this person, & many others like it, fail to realize, is that mixed breeds are hardier, healthier, & overall better to have than purebreds. Let’s recognize that.
